It was a year of big headlines. Civil rights and Vietnam. The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and the Summer of Love. Thurgood Marshall on the Supreme Court. John McCain a prisoner in Hanoi.

In Boston, Kevin White beat Louise Day Hicks for mayor. Urban renewal tried to resuscitate the city with bulldozers, even as residents fled in droves. Race riots exploded in Roxbury. A woman officially ran the Marathon for the first time. And a Red Sox team made a run at glory, building a fanbase that’s still strong a half-century later.

Those were the big stories. But that’s only a small part of the history. Where were you in 1967? What were the events—seismic or trivial—that shaped your life? What do you think of the events of 1967, after decades to reflect and reassess?
